At Wild West JJ we like to offer not only BJJ, and MMA but we also offer Judo, Tai Chi, and Vale Tudo. We can also help you learn to calm the mind with our meditation and breathwork classes that can help you recognize the events in your life both on and off the mats.

From Japanese warriors hanging out with Brazilian surfers we get what we now know as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. This is a grappling art that focuses on what happens when two people are on the ground and how to get them to submit. Similar to catch wrestling this is a game of submissions.

Founded by Kano Jigoro as a means to compete broadly between schools this art can be found in The Summer Olympics. Judo focuses most of its energy to standing techniques and how to get an opponent to the ground. This is a fast paced and explosive art that is fun to watch and perform. Judo has a lot to choose from if the throw does not score you a win as well but that is secondary to their throws.

The striking art that has been coupled with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since its inception. This art focuses on controlling an opponent and the ways that they can strike you while maximizing the potential of your own strikes.

This is a meditative art. The Yin to all the other arts Yang. Tai Chi is about body awareness and how you carry yourself as well as being aware of where each part of your body is in relation to the others.

There are many types of meditation and a few right and wrong ways. We have a teacher that can help you learn your favorite type of meditation and help you move toward it.
